Busy Bumble-Bee

I have decided that bumble-bees are called such, not just because they make an incessant droning noise, but because they are also bumblers in the sense of "blunderers". They are so tired from all the many things they do--from their unceasing work (they are busy as bees, after all)--that they tend to blunder and generally bumble around. After all, just picture the last time you saw a bumble-bee. The poor, tired insect was undoubtely flying so erratically because of lack of sleep. After all, have you ever seen a bee take a break? Stop that buzzing for a quick power nap? No. I think not. So, cheers to the busy bumble-bee--unafraid to blunder around a bit for the sake of work.

(Methinks I like the OED too much. I also need more sleep . . .)

And then the bee dies... no break = abismally poor lifespan.
